Click to view larger image.Volunteering at the 1820 Col. Benjamin Stephenson House is a fun, rewarding, and interactive experience. Our goal is to provide a quality, educational experience for our guests as well as a fun opportunity for our staff and volunteers. We all learn in different ways. Experiencing “the past” first-hand makes any learning experience more exciting.

Volunteers are the backbone of our organization; without them we would not be able to function. There are many areas where you can help.

We are glad to work with your schedule! Because the site operates with volunteer labor, a schedule is imperative to daily success and volunteers are encouraged (but not required) to set up a weekly or monthly schedule.
